Our first contemporary journey to the United States of America, held from May 12 to 24, 2023, was divided into two key segments.

The first part took place in Norfolk, where – thanks to an invitation from the Chrysler Museum of Art and the inspiring setting of their Glass Studio – we had the opportunity to present our family glassmaking tradition in detail to a wide audience of professionals, glass collectors, and end customers.

Each day was filled with live presentations of our craft, design philosophy, and production, featuring both Halama Glass and our close partners from Pačinek Glass.

The second part of the mission took us to Washington, D.C., where we had the honor of participating in a diplomatic event held on the occasion of the official visit of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic to the United States. We were proud to present Czech glassmaking excellence to a distinguished group of international guests.

This twelve-day journey was also a milestone for Zuzana, a representative of the youngest generation of the Halama family, as it marked her first international experience.

We are deeply grateful for the support of Ambassador Miloslav Stašek and the entire team at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C.
