HALAMA brand, represented by Robert Halama with son František, was an integral part of the Mission of Czech Glassmakers in New Delhi and Mumbai called "The Story of Czech Glass". The event was organized by the Czech Embassy in New Delhi in cooperation with the Czech Trade Agency and the Honorary Consul in Mumbai by Mrs Rashmi Jolly, in the term November 25 – 29, 2019. A series of business seminars, a demonstration of the hand-blowing of glass master Jiří Pačínek with the assistance of Indian designer Reshmi Dey, a series of visits and meetings at the headquarters of Indian companies and a presentation of the Visit Crystal Valley project, formed a busy program that did not interrupt or night-time moving of the exhibition from New Delhi to Mumbai.
A big thank you to the Ambassador to Mr Milan Hovorka, the business consul, Mr Milan Touš, the director of the Czech Trade Agency, Mr Ivan Kameník, the honorary consul in Mumbai, Mrs Rashmi Jolly, and the whole team of the Czech Embassy in New Delhi. Despite of the fact that the interest in Czech glass is great in India and many other opportunities have been opened up, there are a number of difficult challenges ahead, which we take as challenges for the coming year and we look forward to continuing the "Czech Glass Story".
